The closest airport to Puno is Inca Manco Cápac International Airport, located 44km away in the town of Juliaca. You can fly in directly from Cusco or Lima. Both routes are operated by Avianca (Colombian airlines) and Latam Airlines (Chilean airlines).

You can take a taxi or bus to Puno from Juliaca airport. A cab usually costs around $20-$25, and a local bus costs $5 per person. Allow at least 45 minutes when taking a taxi and over an hour if you’re coming by bus.
